Terms of Use

Effective November 7, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and High School Matrix ("we", "us") for using HighSchoolQ at highschoolq.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.

1. Who can use HighSchoolQ

  • You may browse lessons without an account.
  • You must be 13 or older to create your own account. Students under 13 may use HighSchoolQ only through an account created and managed by a parent or guardian.
  • If you buy a subscription, you must be 18 or older, or a minor buying with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. A parent or guardian who allows a minor to buy agrees to these terms for them.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. Give us accurate information, and do not share one account among many people.

3. Free access and limits

Lessons, notes, cheat sheets and memory help are free to read. Free accounts include a set number of practice questions and hours of practice time each calendar month. We may change what is free or the size of the free allowance, and we will not charge you for anything without your clear agreement.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are not available yet. The terms in this section apply from the day HighSchoolQ Plus launches.

  • Price. HighSchoolQ Plus costs $9.99 per month or $79 per year, in US dollars, plus sales tax where required. We will show the price and the renewal terms before you pay.
  • Automatic renewal. Plus renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You authorize us (through our payment provider, Stripe) to charge your payment method each period.
  • Cancel any time. Cancel online from your account in a couple of clicks, with no need to contact us. You keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling stops future charges.
  • Reminders. For annual plans we email you about 30 days and again about 7 days before renewal.
  • Refunds. We give a full refund if you ask within 7 days of any charge. See our refund and cancellation policy.
  • Price changes. If we raise the price, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry it, and may pause Plus until it is resolved.

5. Using the content

The lessons, notes, diagrams, questions and other content on HighSchoolQ belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial study, print them, and share links. Teachers may use and print content for their own classroom. You may not copy or resell the content, republish it, scrape it, or use it to train a machine-learning model without our written permission.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload or probe it, no bypassing limits or payment, no sharing of accounts, no automated copying, and nothing unlawful or harmful, including toward other students.

7. Study aid only, with no guarantees

  • HighSchoolQ is a study aid. It is not a substitute for your teacher, textbook, or school curriculum, and it is not professional advice.
  • Our lessons are written with the help of artificial intelligence and are checked before publishing, but they may still contain errors or may not match your teacher’s method or your state’s exact standards. When in doubt, ask your teacher, and please tell us about mistakes.
  • We do not promise any particular grade, test score, or result.

8. Names and examples

We mention movies, shows, games and other works only as everyday examples to explain ideas. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them or their owners. All trademarks belong to their owners.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, including special protections for children.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using HighSchoolQ at any time and delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or end access if someone breaks these terms or misuses the site. Sections that by their nature should continue (like content ownership and limits of liability) continue after that.

11. Disclaimers

HighSchoolQ is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not make promises that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim all implied warranties.

12. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost grades, data or profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, please contact us at support@highschoolq.com so we can try to resolve it.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify account holders by email or in the site before it applies. Continuing to use HighSchoolQ after that means you accept the updated terms.
